Baby Shower Planning

I thought I would do a quick post as we are having a baby shower at the end of August. I no thats around 3 months before my due date but I wanted to have the party in the garden as our flat is quite small so hoping the weather will be good, and if I held it in November or October it will probably be snowing lol!

I'm having around 20-30 guests manily close family and friends some of my friends children are coming too!

The theme I have picked is a Vintage tea party & Candy buffet. This means lots of sweets,desserts,cakes :)

I have already sent my invitations and are so happy with them a lady on Ebay personalized them and she does all different range of invites!

Party Table Wear!

I have fallen in love with this range of table wear by a company called 'Ginger Ray'
Its the enchanted Rose collection and is perfect for my vintage tea party theme! 
I will be ordering supplies next week here is there website but you can find them online such as eBAY! There so pretty with the roses and swallow and very vintage.

CANDY BUFFET/DESSERT TABLE 

This is going to be the main focus of the baby shower I love the thought of having unlimited candy for my guest to tuck into! The sweets will also be the guests favours as I'm ordering personalised sweetie bags so before they leave they can fill them up with all the treats! Perfect idea for both adults and kids I mean who does love sweets! 
The sweets are going to be soft pastel coloured so pinks,yellow,white etc.. 
I also have to buy scoops,candy jars/bowls to display them as I think it doesnt look tacky and looks quite pretty! I also love the idea of mix and matching the sweet display holders so have some tea cups,cake stans,glass containers,bowls,square plates etc...
The sweets we are going to buy from wholesalers such as Mackro as we need quite alot. Some sweets we was thinking of are:Flying Sacuers, Marshmellows,Love hearts,Bon Bons, Strawberrys,Sweet Necklaces,White chocolate Snowies,Candy Cones etc...

Baby Girls Cake

The main focus of the dessert table is going to be our baby girl's cake we are getting it done by a lady who done my 21st birthday cake. I've ordered a giant cupcake plus cupcakes to go with it, I told her I want sponge cake with buttercream icing and the details to be bows etc. She is also going to write the babies name on the bottom, here are some photos of inspiration that I have sent her.

Baby Buys - Part One

I'm so happy with everything we bought and pretty much all of it was on sale! It's crazy that every baby shop at the moment as massive sales on which I'm so greatful for as we would of spent alot more money on these items!

Gender Reveal ...

From day one me and my partner Paul wanted to find out the sex of the baby. We really thought it was going to be a boy not sure why but it was stuck in our heads that it was more then likely to be a boy! We was looking at early gender scans and didnt think we would actually be able to get an appointment so quickly! The clinic I went to was called 'MyUltraBaby' and they were amazing really friendly staff and make you feel so relaxed! We got the early gender scan package which included:

Price: £80 Inclusive of well being report, 1 b/w 2D image and 1 b/w 2D Keyring & also a sneak peak of the baby in 3d! 

It was so lovely to see the baby again on the screen and she really took her time looking and exaiming the baby she said he/she looks very healthy and everything seems fine which was nice to hear. 

The baby was in such an awkward position so I had to move around alot so we could get a better photo but mananged to get one in the end! 

At last she could finally see the baby properly and she found out the sex - she was pretty sure it was a 

GIRL !! :-)

We was so happy and shocked as we thought it was a boy and cant wait to start buying pink stuff

Hi everyone, I have just got back from a lovely two week holiday in Egypt 

We stayed in Sharm el sheikh in a 4 star hotel & had a swim up room :D

13 Week Pregnancy Update

Hiya everyone,

Sorry I have not been around lately but I have had alot going on with being ill etc...

When I was around 9 weeks pregnant I got a fever and was very poorly for around two weeks, I couldnt move from my bed and on top of that I was pregnant :( I was vomiting,shivering,burning up head headaches and worst of all I lost my appetite. I slowly started to get better but then I had terrible morning sickness (well I'm not sure why its called 'morning' as I had it all day!) 

I missed quite alot of work too but still managed to go in some mornings to catch up but ended up getting sick all over the floor 

My bump is getting so huge and I LOVE it cant wait to feel the baby moving etc.. 

I had my midwife appointment on the 9th April when I was very sick but managed to attend the appointment. She was very nice and helpful she took down all my medical history,blood pressure,weight etc..She tried to take blood from me but she struggled to get any as I was so tensed up (I was petrified of needles! ) So she transferred me to the hospital where I had to give a urine sample and then go for the blood test, again they struggled to get blood but managed to in the end! 

My main symptoms for 12-13 weeks are sore breasts and increasing a cup size which I was very happy about! And morning sickness :( Thankfully I'm over the tiredness now and have alot more energy.

I had my scan on Thursday which was AMAZING it was the best day of my life! I was so excited but very worried at the same time because I havent had a early scan or anything I was just praying the baby was ok. The lady was so nice and friendly and really explained the scan well, she found the baby straight away and it appeared on the screen so quickly and clearly! He/She was moving around so much I couldnt believe how active it was. Me & Paul had massive smiles on our faces our mouths hurt that much. She measured the baby from head to rump and then told me I was 13 weeks today (Friday) so I was measuring a week ahead. She said the baby looks very healthy and everything like the fluid,womb looked ok. Also while she was doing the ultrasound she done a screening test for Down Syndrome which is offered to every expecting mother, she said I was low risk which was good news.  

I cant wait for our next scan (20 weeks) which is on 27th June we are also finding out the gender which we cant wait about! 

After my 12 week scan I had to have another blood test but that went very smoothly and will get the results when I see the midwife next on 31st May

Bathroom Cabinet Organsation

Hiya everyone, I bought a new bathroom cabinet the over day as I was short on storage. Now that I'm pregnant I'm trying to get so organized and I have another tallboy cabinet in the bedroom which will be for the baby (baby lotions,medicines etc..) So I went through my stuff and alot of it was bathroom related so I decided to store it in my new cabinet which I love so much! Its from a store called B&M and will leave the link down below if your interested in purchasing it! It's so pratical because it has shelf space for towels,ornaments etc and also a cabinet that closes and you can hide all the clutter. I HATE clutter so I thought this was perfect! In the top half where the shelf's are I keep my towels,hand towels and face cloths I stuck with the theme beige & white as that's the colour of my bathroom. In the cabinet below I stored my hair products,fake tans,perfumes,shavers etc in little trays so organized and doesn't clutter the bathroom up.
